Reliable mission information

Sometime in the future will the environmentalist be on a mission to "Save or Adopt a Windmill"?
You know in the past many of them were saving trees they would climb up and chain themselves to the tree and refuse to come down. Therefore in the future when the expensive windmills are technically out of date and being demolished because they are in the way of a new freeway, motorway or shopping centre do you think they will climb up to the top and build a platform house and protest at the green monument being pulled down?

Dirty oil people gotta love this , do you think an oil barron scuttled the mission ?

Do you agree that something really needs to be done in order to save our planet? Are you willing to help with the fight against saving our planet? What things have you done to change the way you live your life , knowing that what you have been doing was harming the planet? Thank you

Should the space program be minimized so we can better fund AGW focused missions?
Neil deGrass Tyson brought up an interesting point on the Colbert Report when I was browsing some of the Google results on Tyson's name.colbertnation.com the colbert report videos 270038 april 08 2010 neil degrasse tysonFor the record I'm not a fan of Colbert, though I gotta admit his O'Reilly impersonation is flawless.Tyson is right, at least he when I reflect back on my childhood.I remember when the microwave became readily available to the masses. Not any of my boyhood friends gave a flip and neither did I.The adults were thrilled. The kids wanted to be astronauts.Even all of the girls I knew girls were not encouraged to pursue this sort of thing when I lived in the South openly wanted to be astronauts.Do you think the desire for our youth to participate in the sciences will be blunted if we take away their inspirations?AGW focused missions.Yep, I thought about these words before I posted 'em.I really couldn't think of a better way to put it." You start talking about a base on the moon and a manned flight to Mars and I think people will get excited." I agree with you.Do you think that an ultra efficient windmill will excite a bunch of pre pubescent kids in their formative years?Shouldn't a fair amount of money be spent on fertilizer if you want a good harvest?I've seen more money spent on private yachts over my 12 years working on yachts than I've seen in one NASA budget year.I was in one bay in one city.Just an observation..." I don't know... Not many. They're much more excited about technology than science and then really only entertainment tech. The science behind it doesn't seem to matter for the most part, it would seem." Okay... so how do we make science matter to those that are destined to take care of us?... and ultimately, themselves...Raj You approached my question as an adult. You did not approach it as if you were a child in his her formative years. What inspired your interest in science as a kid, out of curiosity?

How do you fee about Russia's mission to place a flag under the Arctic icecap to claim the oil and gas .....
Once the Icecap melts away because of global warming... As the Arctic icecap thins due to global warming, a race is looming to claim ownership of the rich energy resources under the North Pole.At present, no country is deemed by the International Seabed Authority to have geological structure beneath the pole so no country owns it. While Russia has yet to restake its claim, news that it might has already provoked protests from Canada, the US, Norway and Denmark. My take on this is that if we Global community allow this type of claim to be ratified, then what are we saying about the importance of the icecap and environment...what insentive would there be to preserving it, if the prospects of gaining Trillions of dollars for the country that can extract it.. at the cost of expaditing the melt and possibility of submerging huge swaths of low lying regions from Florida to Bangladesh.

Wanna help me in my mission?
My goal for this school year is to become more active in helping preserve the environment. I'm already starting to spend more on the organic stuff and less on the other stuff, and my family is going to start recycling soon once we get in contact with the nearest company. What else can I do to help though?
