Reliable air quality information

Have drive clean programs made any appreciable difference in air quality? Are there any websites with this info?
I was curious just what impact drive clean programs have had on air quality ? Is the air quality significantly better with this program? When this program first came out I was quite vocal that the only one who benefited from getting old cars off the market was the big three auto makers.I was stating this long before the big three's plummeting sales became breaking news.I still believe that if there were any significant improvement in air quality ecology groups would have made this a media event.I think the drive clean program was all about keeping big business afloat they mismanaged their own money and that of investors and begged for gov't money .All that money pumped into research , pushing for eco friendly cars and they still can't make a eco friendly car with an affordable price tag Check out the price of the 2 seater Smart Car?CAn anyone recommend a website that will show what impact drive clean programs have had on air quality. Thanks for any websites you may suggest or your thoughts on the program.

What is the air quality like in Wyoming (specially Rawlings city)?
Already searched airnow.gov and stateoftheair.org, but both are missing data on this city and most of the state. I want data from a reliable source, preferably one that spans years. I have read that certain industries in that state have created great amounts of pollution. Is that going on in Rawlings as well?

What causes indoor air quality problems and how can I tell whether I have a problem?

If the leaves on trees produce oxygen - does that mean that our air quality decreases in the winter?
I drive into the big city every day to work and am always concerned when the city comes into veiw and the smog bank is hanging over the sky scrapers. This got me to wondering if our air quality is less in the winter with no leaves on the trees. I have lots of time on my hands driving to work every day Ironically I hate to be part of the problem but on the bright side my company is working towards going more green and I have been moving towards working from home on several days. Yeah Anyways, this is just a curiosity question and I am looking forward to hearing what people think Thanks Wow I am enjoying every single answer this community has shared with me Thank you all so much for such interesting information

If we have to drive to get places, what can we do to minimize the air quality problems we add to?

This is a long shot but.. I was wondering if there is such thing as air quality inspectors? I've tried google?
but can't quite find what I'm looking for some I'm not sure it exist. Reason I ask, my family and I live above kiddie corner to an indoor smoker yuck . And they changed the rules to be a smoke free residence but there is really no way to have that enforced because their house already smells like smoke so they really can keep smoking and never get caught. But it seeps through the air vent in our bathroom and mine and my husbands closet and oven vent. Thankfully it's not in my daughters room at all. But our lease isn't up till July and I'm worried about the second and third hand smoke. I know my renters rights. But I want my manager to do an air quality test to make sure there isn't actual smoke coming through to be harmful. Is there such thing and would they be responsible legally to pay for that or air purifier?

Biofuels vs gasoline, and biofuel's effects on air quality?
I'm pretty new to this, but I'm curious. Sorry if these questions are stupid. How can biofuels be better for the environment than gasoline, in terms of air quality? How do they reduce the amounts of Carbon Monoxide and the Nitrogen Oxides? Why aren't biofuels used instead of gasoline?

Need help on research topic ideas for air quality.?
I need a research topic that I can carry out. All the ones I'm thinking of are too hard or too easy. I'm only a high school student so I don't have many resources available. I was thinking about doing ozone pollution and its effects on lungs. Obtaining some lab mice lungs and exposing them to an air purifier while recording changes in lungs and time but I'm not sure if that would work. Need some ideas. D
